Went to my first high school football game in 30 years last Friday night. My nephew, a freshman, is playing linebacker on the varsity team.
I'd forgotten how much fun it could be. Sure was nice watching a bunch of kids play because they love the game.

I'd rather watch high school football than any other kind.

You're not kidding. My daughter is on the softball team at her school and they are always fundraising, so they have clean up duty after the game and yes, I have to help, but I do get to catch the games and they are great. since my son hasn’t played since
8th grade, so I’ve kind of missed the game scene.

Both of my sons played football, basketball, and baseball all through school and then took up college sports.

No doubt about it it keeps them focused on a worthwhile activity and out of trouble.

But as for me I spent all the time I care to sitting on bleachers for awhile.

But one day I am sure I will want to sit those bleachers again.

It is fun watching them put so much heart into doing the best they can.
