If you want to understand Dershowitz read Norman Finkelstein's book 'Beyond Chutzpah'. He goes through Dershowitz's book 'Case For Israel' and points out all the errors and their origins. He basically points out the smoothing over and ignoring of Israeli atrocities against the Palestinians while Dershowitz paints a rosy picture and the world media focuses on arab offenses when the real numbers are staggeringly against the Israelis.
