It's not about who sent the message of Islam to people, it's what he sent down. Christianity's first followers were simpletons. People believed in Jesus because of the actions he did (miraculously heal people, etc.). Same with Moses and his own miracles. With Muhammad, people turned to Islam because of its teachings, not the actions involved. I'm not Arabic, but I have friends who are fluent, and they tell me that the Quran is one of the most magical books they have ever read. Muslims don't revere to Muhammad as their god, as Christians do with Jesus, they follow the Quran, which they believe was written by God.
