Well then, by that standard I must not be a Christian since when those I loved died, I mourned.....not for them, but for myself because I was left here alone.

For some reason, I don't think you are a Christian.
Or, maybe you are very angry at Jesus or christians.
Anyway, sometimes you just miss the idea of that un/related person being of this life with you. Not acknowledging your pain would be harmful to you.
At the same time, you can rejoice at their new situation.

What you fail to understand is the flaja is the ultimate Christian.
Never stumbles, gets tempted, or sins. He is perfect in every way.

If they expect to join Falwell in Heaven, they have lost nothing.

Did you have any expectation that you see them again?

Good grief, the guy just wanted to comfort those who will miss Falwell's presence on earth. It really is that simple.

No he was saying a a TRUE Christian is not supposed to mourn other Christians and that if you do then you aren't a true Christian. Which is baloney.

And they won't be legitimate Christians or they don't believe that Falwell was a legitimate Christian. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to mourn a legitimate Christian's death because that legitimate Christian has not lost anything

Should you get so worked-up over the “loss” of someone you expect to spend eternity with?
