Ow, those insults hurt so much, or would have been 40 years ago when I was a teenager.
Funny how you accuse me of one thing, and turn around and do it yourself.
BTW, "consensus" isn't proof, sorry. The entire world's population thought the world was flat when the Holy Babble was written. Kind of throws your whole argument in the File 13 drawer, were is belongs.
BTW, feel free to show how I was stating my "opinion as facts".

First, BTW, I pointed out that consensus isn't proof, let alone fact. You're the one using consensus to make a point.
Second, forty years ago when you were a teenager and you still use "Holy Babble and Big Spooky Guy?" LOL!! Sorry, reality says you're still there. Grow up. See ya...

Merely lowering myself to your level so that you could understand me.
BTW, you stated "Consensus is by definition a majority of opinion, so in essence you are by your own admission presenting opinion as fact."

Archaeopteryx? Archaeopteryx was and is many things...a distinct transitional link is not one of them. Most notably it is considered to be 100% bird. Your disagreement appears to be not with creationists, but with the likes of Stephen Jay Gould, Niles Eldridge, and even Pierre Lecomte du Nouy.
Punctuated equilibrium anyone?

"And the Jewish people to whom I gladly belong and with whose mentality I have a deep affinity have no different quality for me than all other people."
And he added: "As far as my experience goes, they are no better than other human groups, although they are protected from the worst cancers by a lack of power. Otherwise I cannot see anything 'chosen' about them."
|
The Jews were "chosen" not because of any physical qualities that made them stand out above the rest. They were chosen by God to be the heirs of Abraham's covenant with God.
Any one who actually read the Bible before sticking their foot in their mouth would know that. As for a letter written in German by a Jew, can you really assume it's his true feelings?
If science is the pursuit of truth, then atheists must be the alchemists of society. Darwinism is flawed thinking. It always will be. There is no missing link because none ever existed. One species cannot develop into another species. Species can develop within a species, nothing more.
What makes Darwinism so attractive a concept is the theory that the strong survive. Although, most groups who believe in this theory also believe in making it happen artificially and need some sort of "scientific" justification to rationalize expansionism at the cost of others. This same group also uses religion to the same effect. Two sides of the same coin.
But Christianity teaches the opposite. It teaches that all men should love one another and work in harmony. Even from an economic standpoint, it's no fairy tale. When all work together, all benefit.
If a better way of life is "retarded", then chaos and hardship must be "cool".
