Default Philosophy of Mind: why questions about robots are stupid

In philosophy of mind they're always talking about the hypothetical scenario of artificial intelligence. They ask, "is it a sentient, conscious being even if its only a complex computer?"
This question is fucking stupid, and thinking like this plagues philosophy and makes people think of it as these mindless hypothetical questions. But worse of all, the answer is fucking obvious! Is it sentient? Conscious? Clearly it fits into what ever damn definitions WE make up for it. If the word conscious doesn't include robots then it aint, if you chose to let it include them it does. moot point.
