About Christianity
...or many other religions for that matter. I've been wondering for a while...
How is it possible to base your entire philosophy of life on some dusty old book?
I've never really understood that.

By precisely the same narcissistic process as people who kid themselves that the geographic location they live in is superior to all others simply because They were born in it.

I don't... I don't trust that the bible has never been altered. nor do I trust that the books excluded didn't have some truth and the books included don't have some lies.
I do believe in jesus and pray almost every night. I don't think everything in the bible is false and rely a lot on my intuition, conscience, and heart when making decisions. I've studied almost every religion and find they all have good points and bad ones.
I hate organized religion because it becomes less about God and more about ego.

How hard have you tried to understand it? Have you read some or all of the bible and do you know what it says about God, Jesus, and human beings? |

lol, do you have to read the Bible to get christianity? its everywhere, i feel like everyone knows the gist of it, which is more than enough

What if He comes back on His White Charger, spitting swords, scrolls, and all the rest of the bizarre DT induced Jewish hagiography, but introduces Himself as "Bruce" ?
Will Ameri-Christians disregard their Messiah and His miracles because He doesn't live up to their expectations of a true-to-their-own-image, sandy-headed, race-betraying Souper cur from Scotland's borderland bog country?
My bet is that's how - introducing Himself as "Brian" to bigoted Jews - He ended up doing chest expansion excercises and trying to simultaneously tapdance, with a nine inch driven through his feet, last time.
