So what about you? You think you're the exception that breaks the rule? C'mon. It is people much the same as yourself who are being duped by the millions into thinking and acting one certain way. I don't care if you personally don't torture spanish prisoners into the arms of Jesus, but that your thinking allows for other people to get away with it, this is the problem.

I currently believe that the most important thing about Christianity, besides Loving the Creator is to Love his creations - especially mankind, even if they dislike you in return.

If one disagrees with the Bible, so be it, But Christ's teachings are pretty much a template for loving others and getting respect in return if they are kind. Not what organised religion has done to subvert it over centuries of misguidance/self serving systems.

No, I would suggest that it is your thinking that allows it. People will use anything to justify their excesses. If it wasn't christianity, it would be one of an infinite number of excuses.

That you focus on an excuse rather than the cause means that you are focusing on the wrong problem, making you all too blind when someone uses a new excuse on you.

"south_claw", you are in good company. When ask, what is the greatest commandment of all Lord, Jesus replied, "to love your God with your whole mind & heart, and to love your neighboor as yourself." ...pjwky

Not defending christians as much as pointing out your errors, and that is something I can do whenever I come here.

You're like that heretic Skinny Fatts, who says "Christians" don't (have to) follow a book, i.e. the Bible.

Presumably each Christian cobbles together their own easy-to-live, higgedly piggedly bits of Little Golden Books, parts of that vomitously saccharine tearjerker, "Touched By An Angel," Little Baby Jesus and snivelling statuary stories, Crystalology, Reiki, Aromatherapy, Ouija board reading, and a deep and abiding faith in the saving grace of Oprah Winfreyanity.

To this, stir in an an heaping measure of hysterical flag-waving AmeriWASP capitalism, then sew it all together into a crazy quilt compendium of token Christianity, that Jesus would flog your money-changing arse's out of his father's Temple for following.

You've added to what I said and turned it into something you said. Bush league, tsk, tsk.
