Not really.
It has been interpreted that way, but it really isn't that hard to incorporate. Any more than ignoring the passages in Genesis where the Sun moves has been incorporated. All that one needs to do is to exchange "creation out of fiat" with "created by evolution". It isn't particularly difficult or hard to do, the problem is that what they dislike isn't evolution, but what they think evolution means morally.
