I remember the stories of the families of the people killed by Jim Jones. The followers were mainly from the San Francisco area but many had also come from far and wide to follow the man. The families who had lost a mother, daughter, a son...etc, etc...were just destroyed when finding our what Jones had done. I remember that because it was all over the LA Times while I lived there, I had nightmares myself about it. I have been approached by Scientology people and other cults over the years and they really give me the 'willies,' these types of people have really given the resposiblities of their lives over to another person, that is what they WILLFULLY did!

David Koresh was a very big mess and he was raping little girls 'in the name of God.' I am sorry that innocent people died in that Waco raid but again, it is blood on Koresh's hands like it was blood on Jones' hands.

I am sorry when humans become so lost and lonely with thier lives that they would be willing to hand all decision making and resposiblilty over to another person.
