Very well said. And very true. Except that church should be more that a social gathering. Church is the place where a Christian is equiped(taught) with what he or she needs to go out and spread the word. A pastor, ministor, or priest is the teacher to the flock(church) and the in turn go into the world and spread the news.

you should not have to be taught by anyone except Christ if you believe in Christ. draw your own conclusions from the Bible do not follow someone elses interpretation!

God gives people different gifts and one of those goifts people get is teaching and some people are called to teach the flock. The Bible even says that you need to listen and be taught by those more mature in Christ then you are.
