I think Samuel Johnson was a Christian I would hold in the highest esteem and admire.

How do you feel about someone like me that is "not born again" in comparison to somone like you who "is born again"? First, I accepted Christ is my savior and that was proven to me a while back. I do beleive he walked the earth and died for our sins...AYFR, does that make me less than you? Then why is there the 'status of born again.'? This has been a very big problem for me in the context of Christianity...

Remember The measure that you use to judge others will also be used to judge you.
We are all sinners and fall short. That is the reason Christ died for ALL of OUR sins. So that NONE may perish but live forever.
Stereotyping a group of people is wrong (you stereotyped Liberals and Muslims) Unless you know the person you can not correctly read a person.
I mocked you and for that I apoligize that was wrong.
Also I do believe in miracles.

AHH a ray of light touches a weary soul:-)
AN APOLOGY, admittedly after a good dressing down loaded with misperception that i can REALLY sink my teeth into........:-)
First, I forgive you for mocking me and ADMIRE YOU for addmitting you were wrong:-) (Thankyou GOD)
You have astute powers of observation, Although I KNOW much about Christianity, even untoo its farthest reaches....I do not consider MYSELF a christian...........
EVEN THOUGH I have studied ,(was forced to study as a youth, almost ALL religions and disciplines, even untoo moonyism and scientology) and have come to understand that CHRIST is who HE says he is, and I KNOW this beyond all peception with certainty, and count Christ as my Brother, My Savior and my only HERO out of ALL MANKIND I cannot align myself with the illusions of what passes for christianity anymore than what passes for the illusion of Islam.
NOW as for the HATRED thing You accuse me of (one of my FAVORITE subjects by the way) I have NEVER CLAIMED to HATE Liberals or MUSLIMS, THAT is a MIS-Perception Bought on by a FAILURE to appreciate BAD humor.
THe very word HATRED, HATE, Please tell me how it differs from lets say DISLIKE? or maby ANGER, lets try Displeased.....by degrees???? and what are all these things but EMOTIONS.
NOW, what the hell is HATE SPEACH, please tell me. (other than the Liberal Donkey COmedians attempt at stifling FREE SPEACH) it can be defined about as well as what an ASSault Weapon is.
So what"s next the EMOTION POLICE?
So admittedly MUSLIMS have NO sense of Humor and thats just too bad for them. And I do love to BAIT and steryotype both Liberals and Muslims, but do I hate them.
WELL, what does a Liberal or a Muslim look like??? Aren't they white black yellow, hispanic and space alien like the Christians and Moonies and Scientologists too?
HATE THEM, No But I AM very DISPLEASED with the fruits that LIBRALISM and ISLAM are bearing. They Both need a good pruning and a good dressing down. The Liberals are saying just about word for word what Islamic Terrorists are saying, while the MAIN BODY of ISLAM points its finger at the fringe wackos and says its them its them, but DANCE in the streets, like the Lebanese at their Paltry little VICTORIES.
NOW on the subject of JUDGEMENT we'll have to adjour.
But I'll be back to LOOKAGAIN:-)

Look, you are really strange...I get you...lol, you are one strange dude.
Ahem.
Christians are generally polite and generous individuals, there are a number of different organizations of christian faith, as mentioned in other posts.
It truly depends on the introduction.
I don't want you knocking on my door, I don't want your bibles I have 3.
I don't ask for your pamphlets and please don't push your biblethumping lectures on me, I am A-OK with God.
I generally have no curiousity about ones faith when I meet them, unless I am attending a ceremoney, a marriage, a birth etc..
I don't appreciate any religion on the extremist level and I will bridle away from any initiation thereof.

Could you tell me where the Bible talks of being "born again" for a quick reference? I want to read the context in which this was spoken of. I have heard this phrase since I was a child in Sunday School.
Thanks in advance!

If you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior then you are born again.
If you keep his words and do not rebel against them then you are saved.
As i said before I do not believe that once saved always saved. You can turn against God and Jesus.
I do not look down on anyone. I believe that we ae all sinners and deserve nothing less than death.
I am greater than no other person. Jesus said
Matthew 7:1-5
Judging Others
1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

I hope this helps
John 3:3-10
3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again*."
4"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!" 5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again*.' 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
1 Peter 1:20-25
20He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. 21Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. 22Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. 23For you have been born again*, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. 24For,
"All men are like grass,
and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
25but the word of the Lord stands forever."[ b] And this is the word that was preached to you.
*Or born from above
