Ask The Genie For - A Gay Baby?
It's a dream come true. You're a pregnant mum, you've saved an Archaeologist's life and he's so grateful and appreciative, he's rewarded you with one of the lamps he found on a dig and it happens to be the genuine article, a real, wish-granting Genie housed in same said magic lamp.
You get one wish for your future child. The specs available are: one boy or girl. The orientation is quite specific; it can be fully normal or totally homosexual. Either choice delivers a 100% healthy kid, and the orientation is set in concrete with a sliding scale for homosexuality from mildly limp-wristed to the full "Macho Drag" model. Once the wish is granted, it's forever. Would you deliberately choose to have a homosexual child of either gender if that choice was totally under your control and responsibility and no one else's? Please note also, the admonition of the standard cautionary fairy tale: 'Careful what you wish for.' How would you roll the dice?

Do you believe earth is flat? Or are you just advertising you ignorance for hand so that we know that you still think that the earth flat and it's only 6000 years old, when it's funny that one of the oldest geological boulders ever found is in Australia which is about 3billion years old, not 6000.
Personally I believe that homosexuality is a normal process of evolution that helps to control the population by randomly creating homosexual males and females.
Do you have a problem (I know the answer to this question but I'll ask it any way) those homosexuals don’t make good homes for unwanted children?

Since you know the answer to your question, would you want a gay couple adopting your children if your children if you weren't around to raise them?

One of my best friends, Tim, is a gay man with a partner he has been with ever since I worked with him in Nevada at iGo, that was 12 years ago...
The answer to you question is that WITHOUT ANY HESITATION IT WOULD LET HIM TAKE MY BOY INTO HIS HOME, which by the way is worth about a million dollars and he and his mate live a family live that most heterosexual would envy.
I don't understand that hate of gays... Tim has been a wonderful friend to me and my family and there is nothing I wouldn't do for him.
My suggestion is that if you don't have a gay friend.

I wouldn't ask for a gay kid from the genie. Not because I'm offended by homosexuality, more though, I hate topical political correctness crap. and I'd hate to have to tone down the way I speak, or talk to my kid about stupid societal issues. I'd also hate to deal with anything negative that happens to him cause he is gay.
INHR, evolution does not work the way you described. Further, homosexuals are evident in every culture all over the world from sumeria onward. Even native americans had homosexuals.

I've considered being a surrogate for a gay couple one day. and if I ever had a child who was going to be put up for adoption sexual orientation of its adoptive parents isn't a concern for me.
I wouldn't ask for a gay child. why would I want to bring a child into this world knowing they will suffer and be bullied? why would any parent?

IHNR;348242]Do you believe earth is flat? This is a tricky one, IHNR. I'm trying to establish the mental processes that allow you to execute, with such a consummate lack of skill, a series of outright lies. Since my forum name (title) reveals nothing about my personal views - and especially about Earth and its nature, it should be obvious to the saddest moron that I chose it lightheartedly for the irony, the sarcasm, the lampoon & chain-tugging value which requires a sense of social balance rather than the petulant little hysterics from a sad little pillow-biter such as your good self. I search in vain for any mention of any geological reference whatever and come up empty handed. Quote any reference I ever made to a 6000 year time frame. So it seems there are a range of possibilities for such deceit.
Perhaps you're claiming that homosexuals are superior liars to ordinary folk? Perhaps your 'Heterophobia' is making you depressed? Perhaps too much dick or maybe too little dick is making your thoughts waver? Perhaps entertainment other than dick? Have the gerbils been defanged correctly? Check with your health professional, they're usually very understanding. In any case, what in thunder has geology got to do with being popped out of the standard model womb-mobile as a fender bender or a windjammer?

And the actual connection to this discussion is?

You must be an extremely rich person indeed! Your gift of telepathy ("I know the answer to the question") must let you win so much at the racetrack and the casinos that the dealers and tellers must be thinning down in truckloads as they commit instant suicide when they see you coming. The point of my argument, moron, is simply that a pregnant woman's greatest nightmare is the idea of giving birth to a gay kid. The driving force behind that terror is ammunition for much discussion. Just curb your overwhelming arrogance and you might see that the world actually doesn't need to revolve around you.

I really don't know where to begin, Oceanbreeze. After such a robust and exhaustive analysis of my argument and your forensic insight leading to a balance of intuition and technical mastery, I'm in a real quandiary as to where this investigation might lead. The social possibilities, not to mention the benefits to the rest of humankind must be just awesomely incalculable. You're a rocket scientist on his day off, aren't you? Ah, shucks, I mighta knowed. You're taking valuable time off and just playing with us ordinary folk, retaining 'the common touch'. You are a saint, mate. A real saint. And they trumpet the mental giants like Einstein. How great you must feel to be able to share such a wonderful gift with the rest of us plebs. Any chance of an autograph? For my kid, of course............ wink! Cheers!
