What part of my statements say that I dislike Muslims? Perhaps you should read the question more carefully.

Since it is no secret I am a conservative, everything I say must be wrong or have a secret agenda. I thought they were legitimate questions that didn't place anybody in a positive or negative light.
I am disappointed that we have only had one person really give us any information, and it wasn't much. Maybe even mainstream Islam doesn't offer any deviation from their 1300 year old teachings. That is just what I wanted to know.

There is a problem here that needs to be understood. People need to distinguish between what individual Muslims believe and what the Qur'an teaches.

It is not possible to judge a group because of a few members. Unfortunately when you are part of a group you represent a "unified front" and that is what others percieve.
That is why I do not associate myself with too many groups I suppose.

Sorry I have to make this quick, but it is funny, I think. The religious right has more in common with mainstream Islam than the left does. The left are the ones who sound more sympathetic to Islam. The right seems to think that Islam is set up against Christianity. The Qur'an says that killing is wrong. The killing of a baby is unimaginable. It says that Allah is the sole provider. This being so lets dicuss the reasons women have abortions. If a woman is raped she may become pregnant. The qur'an says that Allah gives life and none other. Basically this means that the rape was part of his divine plan. Muslim women who have had this issue in the past have had to raise the child anyways. Now things are changing. There has always been some nations to adopt the rape child. The state will provide for their care. This is a thing that is becoming more prevalent.
Some women get preganant and think that they will not be able to provide for thier child economically. This is where faith comes in. They must have the child and raise the child, and have faith that Allah will provide.
Some women are in danger. Maybe the pregnancy has complications and could cause the death of the mother. This is the sole exception. If the mother is in danger and an expert oin the issue verifies this then Allah will understand. Tunisia was the first nation to go pro choice. They have been trying to rectify their image to the west for a while and I think it was 2002 they began a pro choice policy. They have since made many strides in womens equality and women now outnumber men in the universities.
If you want to understand how Islam regards abortion all you have to do is ask someone from the religious right how they feel. Substitute God for Allah and bang same thought.
And by the way. Dom is probably one of the best posters on this forum, in my opinion, I KNOW full well he asked this question to help himself understand. Their was no malicious intent WHATSOEVER. Whoever it was that said he was being mean should probably read through his posts. He is conservative, but not extreme. He does concede points, and he asks question more than he asserts mean statments, racist statements. I like Dom. I don't think he has any bad opinions. He is well informed, and if he asks a question, trust me, it is a question and nothing else.

TR 14 don't get upset though. This analogy is a good one. A great one as a matter of fact, I think I will begin to use it with your permission, I think you just got a little emotional to quick. I do the same alot. Keep at it kid you're going to be a great grown up if you keep at this pace.
