Personally, I don't think there is a God, but publicly I'm willing to accept a wide variety of stupid ideas as potential realities and potentially helpful outlooks. It isn't like religion is without its merits. It isn't like I'm making any metaphysical claims at all about the "truth" or "nature" or "reality". I'm too thorough and consistent with my philosophy to make those mistakes.
It has nothing to do with how you treat others or a desire to disprove gods existence (though this is the difference between atheists and the radical atheists you said you knew and disliked), it has everything to do with being honest with yourself. If you truly do not know whether God exists or not, then you are agnostic. However if you really do believe you know, even if you have no desire to convert anyone, you are an atheist.

This is my entire point, look at all the theistic language you use in your thinking. Convert? What the hell? This is why agnostics are pussies, they have no final vocabulary of their own.

An agnostic is a non secular who has taken Pascal's wager to it's most idiotic extreme.
It is the ultimate spirtitual day-trip, and a quasi term

I dont like the term Athist either.
There need be no name for my "lack of belief", and no need for a hatrack for me to hang my sanity and lack of need for a crutch.

There are dimwits out there who stick their big toe in their ear in an attempt to reach, and claim Atheism is actually a "faith"

These people however, are either kooks, theocratic anti constitutional zealots who desperatly want to twist the 1st amendment to declare secularity an "“Exercise of religion” or both

i find myself unable to avoid identifying as an atheist at this point, its such a profoundly perfect word to describe my existential dilemma. Thats more what atheism is anyways, a dilemma, the dilemma of thinking different than all the humans around you.

Understood.

But see to me, there is no existential dilemma.
It is those who cant cope without an imaginary paternal slave master with the dilemma, not me

you don't struggle finding people to relate to? I do, personally, and feel that philosophy is something I should keep to these forum walls.

Oh HELL no.

I dont know where you live, but in my neck of the woods, it is never a problem.

NO MATTEER WHAT,....remember,,,,and this is BIG.....

YOU NEED NOT DISPROVE, WHAT CAN NOT BE PROVEN, AND THAT WHICH DISPROVES ITSELF.

They are the ones with the dilemma...not you

I was an Agnostic before evolving into an Atheist and if’in you start at the beginning of moi’s blog you’ll find that there is no god in foxholes and moi ‘tis an Atheist.
