Seriously? Why do you have trouble accepting the idea that government and religion should be separate? Infact, and I could be wrong, didn't our founding fathers make an AMMENDMENT, saying that it had to be? We cannot govern out diverse soceity with one religous belief, thats why we are in total chaos with G. Bush as president! You need to think by yourself not with Jesus or Moses or the African Fertility God by your side!

What amendment required that religion could never be part of our public life? I won't argue that the government should stay out of religion and should pass no laws requiring or PROHIBITING the free exercise thereof. However, please show me what amendment prohibits Merry Christmas to be said in public. You don't want freedom of religion, you are so frightened of religion and its positive values that you want freedom FROM religion. Keep it out of your sight, the very mention of the word God will cause your eternal damnation and you know that so you are terrified of coming into contact with your future.
