You need to read (or read again) Crow's response a few posts back. We did not evolve from monkeys, but from an earlier primate. The general scientific consensus is that chimpanzees and humans split in the evolutionary tree about 5 to 7 million years ago....both from this earlier primate (not a monkey)...a fork in the road so to speak. Hope that clears things up.

Does it really matter where we came from??? I think it matters more where we are going. The origin of life is truly a question of ones faith. If there is a God, There is a God or if there is no God. All answers are faith based questions. Well, I know that Yes, there is a God. I also know that I am willing to place my eternal faith, in Jesus Christ. Does it matter if we are evolved primates or something, not really. but if that is the case, why are there still primates ? However God worked this out, that is God's doing.
