I use to work with a gay guy, he was awesome. You could never tell he was gay, in fact, I never knew until I went over his place to visit his roommate before a party and I saw him cuddled on the couch with another guy. There was nothing different about him, he was just attracted to men, I have no problem with that. Warning: This may offend some but its not intended to. What I don't understand is how being attracted to men turns you feminine. I don't neccessarily agree with the flambiont gays, they seem fake to me, as if its more more attention. I could be way off base here but these are just some observations of mine. On that note I will with: I think everyone should be allowed the freedom to do what they wish to make themselves happy as long as it doesn't hurt others.

Roman, I have some stories that are almost indentical...good post! I honestly think that certain people are really afraid of gays and have a deep phobia about them. It makes them question their own sexuality and that is even more personal than religion (to all humans), they really can't handle it.

My opinion is that homosexuality is not chosen but it is how some people are born. Some medical studies have cited multiple pregnancies of male fetuses will increase a womens antibodies therefore possibly causing a hormonal cause. These studies are not well defiined or accepted in the medical community. I do not know why some people are gay. Studiies show that most feel isolated and pain during adolescence and would not choose to be gay.

I cannot personally understand how someone is attracted to their own gender but I accept it. I do not dwell on it. I accept people for who they are. If two consenting adults choose that lifestyle it does not impact me.

Legally I think we should allow equal rights in the form of civil unions but let churches decide what is holy matrimony for each congregation.This would help to cover end of life issues ,insurance,inheritance,access in medical emergencies...practical legal issues.

Personally as a woman , people that are obsessed with homosexuality and are extremely homophobic strike me as insecure of their own sexuality.

I do not think this issue should sway elections . The 1 in 12 or 1 in 18 or 1 in 10 people that are gay will be gay regardless of who is president. I cite the various incidence of homosexuality because every study is different in the percentages.

The people i know who are gay(co workers, my hairstylists,) are just people who work, pay taxes, do not break laws and you would not know they were gay unless they told you.

Hey the book "Queer eye for the Straight guy" probably gave the best masculine tips on style, cooking, grooming and basic clothing advice for any man that wants to attract women!

In the biology of life animals, including mankind, there are differing levels of sexual hormones in males and females. Those levels go from nuter to overly male or female and many degrees in between for both sexes. It is not surprising, some humans are hermorphodite with both. We do not choose the amount of male or female hormones to be born with. Therefore sexuality is a toss of the dice not withstanding who is throwing them.

Quit judging people...we can all co exist as long as someone is not a criminal it is not your concern. I myself don't get it but I have some friends who are gay they are cool have their own lifestyle and are good people.
