Yet that story only gets a few lines in the bible.
I don't believe it ever happened.
Help me out here. Please.

Also, if I remember correctly, when asked what the greatest commandment was Jesus said love the Lord thy God with all thy heart. And there was anouther sentance about the good that comes from it. Now, is this not the greatest commandment becuase it doesn't get much run time?

This has been a waste of my time. Can't any of you think for yourselves?
I retract my question.

Alright Butch, how is this. No, the raising of Lazarus was nothing compared to the invention of the wheel. Jesus is no more important than creation itself, hence all life and if it is answers to what is heaven or hell all about then it would most likely serve your purposes better if you took a leap

Sorry I forgot to add the term "faith". I do hope you are still with us and didn't go all out on account of what someone said.

Because as big of an event as that was, that was not the purpose of the Bible. In any book, essay, speech, etc. one must keep to the main focus. While Lazarus was an amazing event, it was not the main purpose.

You think THAT was a GOOD post.
That is the most stupid response I've ever heard.
So you think you understand the 'purpose' of the bible?
And it's not just a compilation of stories that help you to believe things that have NO basis in fact. Right.

I must have missed something here. Christians beleive that the bible is the inspired word of God but it written down by human beings. Man has a tendency to put a spin on things if you haven't noticed.
