Boycott Fisher Price
My kids' swings have a variety of songs. When the music button is placed on "sleep music", one of the rotating songs in that category is 'What Child Is This'. These crazy evangelicals are pushing their beliefs everywhere.
Target : Fisher-Price Rainforest Cradle Swing

what better way to put your child to sleep than a musical fairy tale? off to dream in a world of make-believe.

probably because "what child is this" is a song about the story of the birth of the "christ" child.
whereas the story of the birth of the "christ" child is simply an ancient pagan allegory about 3 stars in orions belt ("the 3 kings") aligning with the brightest star in the night sky (sirius, the "star of the east") with the rising sun (the "sun" of god) on the horizon during the turning of solstice from shorter, to longer days.

Quite interesting.
Yule Solstice is the turning point for longer days . AKA the birth of the SON or Sol Invictus .
What from Christianity wasn't taken from paganism?

At first, I thought the boycott would be because the toys are made in
China and they are using led paint on them. That would be my reason for boycotting them. As much as I dont follow Christianity I personally dont find the song to be a big deal as it cant do any harm to th kiddies.

People need to pick there battles. Its a children's toy. You think a child knows anything regarding the tunes those little trinkets play? Whether its a religously motivated tune or marry had a little lamb.
Let it go, people.
There are worse things to worry about...

Are you bringing up this crap again or are you trying to say what child is this is a pagan song? If you are, your wrong. If not, your way off topic, and wrong...

Do you think the children are the only ones that hear the song?

Sav; I agree.
EF; you have twins, how do you have time to focus to listen to anything?
