I say probably because there aren't records of why these books were taken out. There seems to be no other explanation that either I or anny recognized historian can think of.

If they were taken "out", that means they would have had to have been "in" originally. Is there evidence of that?

Usually the books mentioned can be dated much later than the biblical material. Apparently the Judas manuscript was found in a cave in the 1970's, not in bibles necessarily. It is definitely from someone with a "Gnostic" orientation and was written no earlier than the second century. The manuscript is itself a 3rd or 4th century Coptic translation.

The only point I'm making is that Judas and the others mentioned were never included in the first place, can't be dated early enough to have been included, and do not meet the necessary criteria. I think it is necessary to explore these books, but so far not many are worth discussing.

Well I suppose we can agree to disagree on that one. I personally feel that all books in the bible were written by normal people and therefore any book ever held in a bible is just as good as any.

The Greek Orthodox Church has most if not everything there is to know about the 2nd Council of Nicea. Probably the one people here are reffering to when not actually knowing which "one" they are talking about.


I dont know people. I have not seen definitive proof on one claim, nor even the factuality of this Zeitgest movie's claims. Most of which on that movie are false or half truths, circled around an obvious bias towards history.
