The Bible also states that Jesus did whatever he could to please God. Does God please Himself?

One last thing that is stated in the Bible: Jesus said, "Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God"...Jesus says that there is no one good but God, and God is higher than him.

So again, how does that make Jesus God?

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God....he is God in the same manner in which a baby grows up to be a man...His father is God and thus he also is deity, he can be nothing but that which he is....He is Deity because his Father is Deity thus the title The Son of God......yet He is human because his mother is human....thus the title The Son of Man. He is God via the fact that he had the Spirit without measure, he did the will of God....thus he was God in the flesh. The Christ had a duality to his nature because that is the only way that God could actually come into physical contact with man....IE God is a Spirit. His purpose was to make a new covenant between God and Man to defeat sin....the only way to do this was to be both Deity and Flesh as he had to live his entire life without sin in order to defeat sin...it took God in the flesh to accomplish this feat, something that was not accomplished before or after the fact of such. This was the "only" way to do away with the old covenant which condemned mankind to death because of his sinful nature...as the Christ did away with the writings of the law that were contrary to man and introduced the new law of GRACE. BD

I think the more appropriate question is "Does god pleasure himself"?

Probablly going to kick myself later for answering this one , but not knowing if your serious or not on the off chance that you are I will answer it just the same.

Its a myth that Jesus ever said he was equal to God. Read 1st Corinthians 15:24

Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that will be destoyed is death. For he has put everything under his feet. Now when it says that everything has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.

There are hundreds of places in the bible where Jesus made it clear that he was not the one mighty God. Jesus was the chosen of God , chosen to bring about God's plan for man kind. Jesus himself makes it clear that he is the son of God , just as I am the daughter of God, but neither of us can do anything without God allowing it .

The whole myth of the trinity came about during the reign of Constantine and evolved through the Roman Catholic church. The protestants have picked it up and as most never really study Gods holy word and are just believing whatever some pastor tells them the myth has stuck.

There is one Holy True Almighty God and even Jesus our Lord is in submission to him, he says clearly in the bible hundreds of times if people would just bother to read it for themselfs.
