Sure he does....no one is denying that. And as far as I know, he's not being pursued by the authorities for saying what he said.

See, Imus has the freedom to say what he said....his employer (MSNBC??) for whom he works by his own choice (again, another freedom) has the freedom to suspend him and demand he apologize....Imus has the freedom to refuse...he can even tell them to fuck off.....they (MSNBC), then have the freedom to fire his ass.

So, Petey, as you can see....freedoms abound. No one is being denied their freedoms.

If Imus loses his job, it is a VICTORY for Free Speech and the First Ammendment. He is free to say what he wants but he is not free from the consequences put into motion by his speech. Liberty is not about freedom, it is about responsibility with your freedoms.

Very true and I'm glad he said those things, it was a nice break from the on going crap about who's the father of a poor child born to a "gold digging, media ho".

The true crime is that created by the "RACE BAITERS" and the media....Just what was so profound a statement that caused all this media frenzy, and feigned insult of many? I know that it can not be the subject matter of content..."NAPPY HEADED HOS". There is much more explict material broadcast daily on my FM radio...and they speak in much more explicit terminology in regard to the ladies...so it is not the words themself...it must be the messenger...kind'a HYPOCRITICAL...don't you think....And as far as the media...what about the racist remarks from the likes of Mr. Biden...Mr. Byrd...and even Mrs. Clinton...where was the media frenzy.....And Mr. Imus and his remarks were done in jest on a shock-jock comical format...with intent of being humorous...dry and tasteless yet the art of comedy....were are all the defenders of free speach....As when Mr. Sharpton called the jews diamond merchants....Mr. Biden called the Indian peoples out for working at 7-11's....Mrs. Clinton talked much the same as in a joking manner speaking of Gandi pumping gas....and Mr. Byrd and his White Nigger remarks....all pretty racist....all classless yet only Mr. Imus gets singled out for content....where is the justice in that? The company that he works for has every right to privately chastise him....but the media and the likes of Al Sharpton have no right to hang him from the cross of national shame...for a tasteless joke. This is probably the most salient point on this...

We can thank Bill Clinton for introducing the "Thought Police" & "Hate Crimes" to America. Making all of the sheeple run around like little like little elves on a twilight zone episode and pointing fingers at people and damning them for acting politically incorrect..........Man is meat.

I didn't know who this guy was but now he's on the tv screen at the gym all the time. He's going to be very very popular after this publicity stunt.

You're absolutely right Harsh. With 24/7 coverage it's like an advertisement being looped for 24 hours per day.

Back in the late 80's or early 90's there was a rap group. I think their name was "2 Live Crew"?
There was a lot of controversy over the language on the album. Hence non stop news coverage and much much money made.
