Because I'm a white male in his 40's, I want to try and be fair, unbiased and give a fair assessment of equal rights with this thread.

Having said that, from my prespective, I find it very difficult for "Blacks" not "African Americans" to keep their divisive institutions and still snivel and cry about equality.

Miss Black America, BET, JET, NAACP, Soul Train and more. These are very divisive organizations, until these institutions go away blacks don't deserve to feel any kind of equality.

What would happen if I started WET or NAAWP? I'd be labeled as a huge racist, a Nazi at best.

America is by population, a white nation, over 200 million people of European decent which means white people. So we have over 200 million European Americans but we don't use that terminology, "European American" because it's divisive.

So I don't address any blacks as "African American" because it divides us and makes it more difficult for races to resolve differences.

Why do blacks whine, cry and snivel the loudest? There are other minorities in America that thrive without Affirmative Action, no government assistence!

The one huge difference between the minorities......Between the Latinos, Koreans and Blacks? WORK ETHIC.

Koreans work 16 hour days without any government assistance and without Affirmative Action and succeed ! - proof positive that Affirmative Action is completely irrevelant. Moreover, Koreans also work most times with a language barrier, how lame are Blacks and Affirmative Action? Pretty fuckin lame, lazy and unjust whiners that do nothing but snivel, cry, complain and whimper.

I have a brother who is a teacher and has a doctorate in education. When he got his first masters he wanted to do the liberal thing in a ghetto named Marin City and work in the "black schools". He was not given the job as principal, even though he had several years experience AND a masters, the job went to a black with a bachelors from a crap school who consistently failed on the job as a teacher.

Seems the only qualification was that he be black.

That is the thing. Those organizations would be racist. Just as their black counterparts should be considered racist.

We have seen time and time again African immigrants come to this country and do very well. The most recent being, in a sense, Barack Obama {although he is an American and born here}.

We also see other groups that were severely discriminated against...such as the Irish, the Chinese, the Vietnamese, the Koreans, the Japanese, Mexicans and other "latinos" do will even though they were discriminated against.

I am willng to say that there is still SOME stigma from slavery, but since slavery is still alive and well in Africa and still those immigrants {black Africans} do well in this country the argument isn't the strongest.

If slavery were still such an issue Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, JC Watts, Denzel Washington, and many many others would not have been able to get to where they are.

It just can't be that significant of a factor after a centure and a half.

Now there was active discrimination in this country until the 50's then some covert into the 90's. But most of that has been rooted out, at least in places like California.

I don't know about Alabama, Mississippi, MIssouri, or Boston but people can always move if they want to.

Actually it isn't divisive as much as it is inaccurate. People of color, especially activists like Jackson and Farrakan, act as if "whites" are monolithic.

I know for a fact that the cultural traditions are very different between Irish and Germans, or French and Russians for example as much as their is physical differences. {Not unlike their is amongst the black people of Africa.}

There are vast differences between the people who occupy the Congo and those that occupy Ethiopia.
