I don't support religious zealots that use the charge of anti-Semitism to stop the legitimate criticism anymore than I would support CZingu calling me a racist to derail the conversation.

I do believe that there are those on the left who are anti-Semitic and merely coach their arguments as criticism of Israel.

It's easy to find fault or blame to support any argument......however, in the end the one placing the blame must one day look in the mirror at oneself.

Israel must look in the mirror instead of playing the anti-semite card.

Israel doesn't play the anti-Semite card nearly as often as black people use the race card.

I know, you're doing a great job playing the "Anti-Semite Card". Are you on the Zionist pay roll or are you working for FREE!!!

You are basically calling me a racist because you don't have an argument.
The argument is quite simple. If I decided to criticize Israel on this forum, but instead of saying, "Israel is wrong, and shouldn't do this...", I'd say "the Jews are wrong, and shouldn't do this...", I would be a classic anti-semite, and everyone would quickly point it out. You're doing the same thing with Palestinians/Iranians, transforming them into the One Big Boogeyman Muslim Horde, which is very short-sighted : it conveniently omits to mention the existence of Arab Christians, Persian Christians, Persian Jews; it brushes over the very real differences between Muslim countries (Indonesia is not at all similar to Morocco, for example), and between Arab countries (Saudis are very different from Algerians, another example). Your rhetoric was typically racist, though maybe you don't even realize it, which would be unfortunate but also unsurprising, considering how widespread anti-islamic sentiment has become.

Nope.

And really I don't give a shit that you are a Jew. It lends your voice absolutely no weight.

Getting defensive, are we ? I never said that my Jewishness gave more credence to my opinions ; I disclosed the information to prevent ridiculous accusations of anti-semitism, since this thread is devoted to that hot topic, and the point you were apparently trying to make was that criticism of Israel is motivated by covert anti-semitism.
As for having Israeli family members, and knowing Palestinians, that does give me more insight into the Israeli-Palestinian conflict than the average joe.

But what difference does my traveling make?

700+ years of warfare between the Irish and the English say no.

How about Belgium and the Nederlands?
Your travel has nothing to do with it. Just curious if you have any firsthand knowledge of the actual situation on the ground. You don't.

I said nothing of political or military union, I talked about their economies. Israelis need markets for their products. Jordanian farmers need more places to sell their crops. Palestinians need jobs. They all get their water from the Jordan river. But above all these 3 countries in particular need TOURISM DOLLARS from North America and Europe, that is why in order for there to ever be lasting peace between Israel and its neighbors Israel cannot afford to isolate itself.

You need to read more, study more and travel more before you make claims of knowing what kind of solutions are feasible in the conflict.

Has nothing with the right to return, it has everything to do with creating a situation where peace is possible.

You need to read more carefully.

You are dilusional and opinionated. Anyone who doesn't agree with you is wrong. So why should anyone try to rationally respond to your posts. Go live in your own little world and quit trying to annoy people just to get attention.
