How clear is ths? Trent Lott is now, and has been a racial Bigot. Is that clear enough? My authority is none other than mr former republican guru Tom Delay, who insisted that he step down. It was not democrats who forced hi8m out o9f his leadership role.

To be honest, there are not too many Democxrtats who are happy with Byrd's KKK association. Buthe does not go around singing the praises of George Wallace, either. And he certainly has staked out a claim forhimself as the resident authority on The U.S. Constitution. Also, I understand he is the true 'PORCINE MENACE> of West Virginia.

Sorry, pal, but we do not licve in a perfect world. This coutry had to do a lot of growing once the Civil Rights movement gt underway. YES YES YES---the southern Democrats were racial bigots. Who tried to deny this? But it was those same southern Democrats who left the party to become Southern Republicans who boosted the GOP into power, and who have elected Republican presidents.

The trouble with you people is that you cannot acknowledge a simple truth---Trent Lott has shone every indication of being a hold-over racist. Do and Republicans accept this as a possiblity even? NO! They immediately attack Bob Byrd.

Here is an example of Republispeak. ME: I believe George Bush lied to the nation about WMDs in Iraq.

Republican answer: Look at all the Democrats who voted to go to war(which of course they did not do,)

Trent Lott is a racial bigot. Learn to live with it. We have his own party as accuser.. When he repudiated Strom Thurmond, then and only then can he be rejuvenated.

Right, he only calls people "white niggers" now.

You implied that the Republicans had nothing to do with the civil rights movement. You are wrong. Eisenhower enacted the FIRST TWO civil rights acts and that is fact. If you want to contest that then try, but you will be hopelessly wrong. I seriously doubt that you even knew that Eisenhower did this OR that people such as LBJ and JFK who are known for getting civil rights legislation passed actually hindered the civil rights legislation in the 50's. That is a fact as well. If you don't believe me then read up on it. I am right.

As far as Lott being a bigot, who said he wasn't? What you have done though is connect Lott and his actions to an entire party, I say turn about is fair play. Perhaps you should think about these things when you post your nonsense.

If you want racist quotes I can give you Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton as well. Would it be fair to condemn an entire party for their actions? I don't think so, but evidently you thinkit is a valid argument. You are ridiculous. Why don't you actually back up your claims instead of just ranting about Lott? Is it because you can't?

That's right!! Hillary!! The same woman who equated Indians to running a 7-11 or who all of a sudden got down with her black self while speaking a church referencing cotton pickers. Yes!!!! Play those long, fogotten one-hit wonder hits!!! Imagine if a Republoican said that crap?

All I'm saying is that there were a good many of Southern Democrats who became Southern Republicans BECAUSE of the CR Act. To my way of thinking, that crossover represents racist attitudes. My only point in this debate.

I would agree with that. But I wouldn't classify an entire party one way based on what some within a party do or say. I think it is a ridiculous stance to take and it is what the original poster did.

Post This should be done please pass along.

The government today is being run by men and women hwo are trying to crush crime out of the youth by treating schools just like prisons with police officers and other official authorities. I beleive that this should be changed they should not be treated like convicts before they even have the chance to do the crimes they are being punished for. In wich case such more crime would be reduced if we treated our youth today with lessons why they shouldnt do crime instead of treating them like they have commited such crimes. I propose a world wide change to show the youth why moraly they shouldnt commit the crimes rather than treating them as if they know better if their parental figures wont teach them. We need, no must have this change done so that instead of threatening them they should teach them why they should not commit these crimes.-Lawrence Micheal Teague
