Never asked him. I know he consoiders himself an American. Maybe he heres that so much it is just a reaction. I do not know. I know what type of person he is though. He is more American than some of the politicans we have.

Well why do African Americans call themselves that?........why do they not call themselves simply American?.........Well African Americans and Muslim Americans have slighty a different expierience in America would be my best guess. And you can call yourself a Christian American or a Catholic American or a Jewish American and I do not think there is anything wrong with that.
People can be offended and upset that Americans of the Islamic faith choose to call themselves Muslim Americans all they want but it does not change a thing.......It could be that choosing to be a Muslim in this country is tough and in some places it may be downright dangerous, but it is a way of saying Not all Muslims are the same as the terrorists you see on TV

If you happened to be riding in an enemy vehicle and I was manning a TOW (which was what happened in Desert Storm) I probably would. Nothing personal, you see. But an enemy vehicle usually has enemies in it.

If you fired upon me or my men (I was a Segeant) I would. Would probably take it a little more personal than in the first scenario.

If you were part of a terrorist cell planning an attack on the lives of non-Muslims (lives which are worth more than Muslim lives), I would. Again, nothing personal.

Other than that, I do not want to kill you ken. In fact, I would really like for the world to be in such a state that Muslims would not be need of killing. If Muslims could live without ever desiring to end the life of those who have no desire of praying to Allah or giving a shit about the words of Muhhamed (pigs be upon him), I could live with them.

If Islam would just do it's own thing, I would not give a fuck. I do not give a shit about Hindus or Bhuddists. Their beliefs are their own and the fact that I am not Hindu or Bhuddist will never cause one of them to seperate my head from the rest of my body. Muslims, on the other hand...

Like I said, if Islam would just do it's own thing and allow everyone else to do their own thing (which *gasp* includes having no regard for Islam or Muhhamed (pigs be upon him), there would be no problem. It is not Christians calling for jihad on anyone.
