Well I think its ridiculous, but what can you expect from a nation that tries to hard to be politically correct. I, first of all, don't believe in hate crimes on the simple fact when laws are made to promote equality, they do nothing more then expand the gap. However, I believe that since the law is in effect these boys should be charged with a hate crime, considering that the beating was race motivated. Just because the law was created to protect the black race from random beatings doesn't mean that the law should only protect them. I truly think this should be brought to the D.A.'s attention and these boys should be made an example of to show that this law is not race specific.
