In the times that I have TA’ed and taught I always try to ask the question whether a neo-Nazi group or a KKK group have the right to march peacefully and I am always STILL stunned that the overwhelming majority of the students say no. Lately I have asked if peace protestors who do property damage should be arrested and charged the answer is nearly unanimously no!!

-The Free Speech Movement started at the University of California at Berkeley and over the past 15 years more conservatives have had to cancel appearances because of credible death threats, including Benjamin Netanyahu WHO was the Isreali Prime Minister at the time. More than one hundred and fifty conservative speakers have been forced to cancel appearance on University of California campuses in the past 7 years alone because of the threat of protests made it impossible for them to speak. Even though the University of California at Davis has the LARGEST Republican Club {which dwarfs the Dem club} of any university in the state conservative speakers are outnumbered by progressive/liberal/dem speakers at the margin of 27 to 1.
