I recall because that was about the time I got fed up with the networks. Got my sat dish and haven't looked back. Its fun to check in to 'em from time to time though.
I also get my info from different sources. the local papers and the NYt's mostly. Then I try to cipher the left and right bull-shit to come up with the real story.

-The Free Speech Movement started at the University of California at Berkeley and over the past 15 years more conservatives have had to cancel appearances because of credible death threats, including Benjamin Netanyahu WHO was the Isreali Prime Minister at the time. More than one hundred and fifty conservative speakers have been forced to cancel appearance on University of California campuses in the past 7 years alone because of the threat of protests made it impossible for them to speak. Even though the University of California at Davis has the LARGEST Republican Club {which dwarfs the Dem club} of any university in the state conservative speakers are outnumbered by progressive/liberal/dem speakers at the margin of 27 to 1.
