Oh Fen do you have any links for your statisitics? If hoards of people are physically assaulting recruiters they should have criminal charges.

We receive constant phone calls from recruiters at our home. A recruiter was one of the judges for public school senior projects. My sons project involved fluency in multiple languages and within 3 hours of the presentation- a call came to our home with mention of his abilty to speak multiple languages. I think it was fine the recuiter was judging students and using infomration he gained by watching the students presentations when calling later.

I ask my son if teachers at his school ever push poltical agendas or encourage or discourage students about the military and he said no. His teachers are so busy with specific subjects Calculus/AP History/Physics/language etc he has no idea their political views. Our school district does not really allow teachers to push agendas.

I am sure like any profession there are teachers who do this , but I do not think this is a widespread issue as some seem to believe.

Other than that I really don't think there is a use for them in my classrooms. Supply and demand, very simple. We also have a very robost ROTC program on campus and this is the choice of several entities to include the student body. I also have two former students (good sax players) who are now officers and flying A-10s (marines) and F-15s (air force), that was thier desire and they came to me and had several 'heart to heart' talks...with me...'the commie liberal.'

Hmmm...anti-Americanism by us 'commie, liberal educators'...who are you talking about again?

You don't understand.

California is the most populous state in the union.

The Speaker of the House is from this area.

The two Senators are BOTH from the Bay Area.

California sends billions of dollars a year to the federal government.

The people of California finance the pork-projects in your neck of the woods.

The federal government will NOT cut the funding off.

Especially now that Bush is weakened with the homos in the congress.

I do too.

But that isn't the way things are handled in the San Franfreakshow Bay Area.

Remember we gave the world the slag Sheehan.

And Pelosi.

Stats? For what?

UC Santa Cruz was mentioned. The incident that I was talking about was at San Francisco State University.

You are a fucking liar is you say that most of your fellow teachers have the same view as you on this issue.

That is a fact.

Oh wait.

I might be wrong. IN urban areas.

I am more specifically talking about the SF Bay Area, so maybe you live in a mroe sane place.

Thanks for the Mea Culpa ol buddy. But, you get points for spicy and insistent language...really drive that point home, even when you think later it is wrong (in the same post). Am I on Candid Camera or something?
