Nobody cuts me that kind of slack when I run a stop sign and get nabbed. The penalty is supposed to be a "lesson" to me.

IMHO impeachment has become a much too often used term. IMHO if we begin impeaching every president and vice president because we in essense disagree with the fact they are in office then this country will be little more than another banana republic. How long will it be before people take to the street to keep the person they voted for in office? Remember no politician will ever be loved by ALL the people, nor will any politician be hated by ALL the people. We start this bullshit of impeaching every president and you can kiss your freedoms (what few remain) goodbye

So we impeach Bush, which in turn causes us to impeach Cheney which in turn gives us President Pelosi. How you think that's going to turn out?
Clinton, McCain and Obama not being able to campaign because of Senate Trials of the POTUS and VPOTUS. Our first female president is by default. Republicans and Democrats at each others throats. A '08 election that is more about "I Hate..." then healing the country and bringing us back to the center.
Impeachment is a bad idea. It backfired on the Republicans with Clinton...there's your lesson.

Yes, in essense I agree with this and sorry to say this was started by people who wanted to make a point about Clinton lying about a BJ. Talk about a banana republic...shit, nothing will get done. |
