Rush: But I have zero doubt that if Bill Clinton was not in power, interns wouldn’t be sexually harassed tomorrow.

Now Sam, would you defend that as ardently?

And please, I'm in no way inferring this is the same as people dying. Just curious as to how you would regard that statement.

Well Rush could say much about the intern situation and be right on. I am female and I view sexual harassment as unwanted sexual attention when you have made it clear you were not interested. However if Rush said if Bill Clinton had been killed in a car wreck his first month in office certain interns would never have had an affair and public embarrassment I would agree with Rush. I would not change his words to say Rush is sorry Clinton did not get killed. That would be called LYING.

Interesting. Off this thread, but did you consider Monicas case to be one of sexual harassment?
No partisan trap, no trick question. Just a straight question to a female, ok. Truce

No... I considered it to be a consensual affair between a married man and a single woman.

Bill Maher is God. Except that he's ugly and a pervert, other than that though and he pretty much apes my view points.

Far stretch of the truth Steve...

I lean left but I do not copy and paste far left interpretations that change peoples words. It weakens the argument. Tell me how you think Cheney is not responsible for the invasion and plan in Iraq? That would be something that might refute Mahers statement that Cheney policy has created the situation that has caused many innocents to die.Much better to refute Mahers meaning than copy and paste a far right blog that HAD to change his words.

Cheney gave his approval to Paul Bremer and created the de- Baathication "plan" and open border "plan". You really think that planning did not contribute to thousands of civilians being slaughtered?
If what I printed was taken out of context then that's my bad. I saw the article and that was that. However, the bigger picture beyond Maher is the fact that so many on the far-left wished Al-Quadea had indeed succeeded in killing Cheney. I read the blogs before Huffington edited them. Posts like "better luck next time" and "They have more bombs, don't they?" This is your party. Wishing an American Vice-President death at the hands of the people who are killing our men and women in battle is beyond disgraceful and beyond anti-American. It is disqusting. You must be proud.

Hurray for Maher. I am so glad he has a show on television. He is one of those people who drives people in the middle away. When people in the middle hear his far left views it certainly can't help the Democratic Party. I particularly like it when he says that people whjo believe in God are fools.

As to what Maher meant on his show, Barney Frank seemed to take the same view as Steve. That is not spin in any way, and anyone watching it would have seen the same thing. Not sure how anyone who considers themselves even close to the middle could defend Maher.

Point is folks, when there is death, chaos, and destruction going on around the world, neither citizens and leaders of those country caught in the middle can be incubated from blow back! It basically comes down to "Is It Your Day To buy the Big One" !.

We as citizens do not know nor are we aware what goes on behind close doors when the powerfull elite of governments around the world come together and decide how war, weatlth, poverty, terrorism, and chaos will be divided up!

How can ordinary citizens of any country make sound judgements of their leaders/gov't when the trump card of secret counsels/meetings, executive privilages, plausible denial, keeping documents secret indefinitely......etc can be used at anytime by the leaders of powerfull Gov'ts!

I don't think the question comes down to whether Bill Maher wished Cheney's death, the question comes down too the Bigger Picture of how powerfull men such as Cheney help create, plan, and oversee total chaos, death and
de-stabilization of the masses around the world.
