Default Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali turned 65 this week. Hard to believe that great man is old enough to draw SS. He was the only boxer I ever watched.
In the 60's, he was called a commie, and a traitor, by the right wing Rep. hawks for his anti-war stance. Where are those who accuse you now, Ali? I doubt if many people remember their names. But we remember him.
One of the greatest days of my life was when he lit the Olympic torch in Atlanta, 1996.
Ali, you are the greatest. And yes, there is a moral here for those of you who question the patriotism of the anti-war people today. History will be our judge. Will the names of those who call us unpatriotic be remembered?

I agree that he was a great man and boxer. But I was one of the ones that thought that he converted to Islam just to get out of Viet Nam. If he had went to the military, he would have been treated like Elvis was and he would have went to Viet Nam only to put on boxing demonstrations.

Draft dodger? Coward? Traitor? Of course the Liberals love those traits! It reminds them of themselves.

>>>Converting to Islam was not one of the most popular things to do back then, and I do know guys who went to prison rather than Vietnam without becoming Muslim.

Are George Bush, Dick Cheney, and and entire shitload of high-ranking Bush supporters liberal? Geez, I wasn't aware of that.
