This is all well and good but what they are not telling you is that because of these fees on the oil companies they will most likely increase prices. Increased oil prices always hurt the economy and the middle and lower class.

not only that. Allote od these tax breaks are for domestic oil production..... Once they breaks are gone companies will transfer there resources to more profitable avenue's of oil supply's...... Thus making us in need of more foreign oil and making us less safe at the same time............... Because the democrats campaiogned on Limiting the foregin oil and trying boost us oil as a campain promiss for safety

Good... I hope oil prices do go up. Then we are forced to face the future with cars that get 40-60 mpg or new technologies all together. As long as oil is cheap we will buy HUMMERS and other large vehicles. When prices go up we go back to the Toyota's and other fuel saving vehicles... so oil prices going up isn't such a bad thing...

I'm for saving the environment and ending our dependence on oil... I'm not talking about raising the price of gas (we actually can't do that) add a two dollar tax to it and watch how people's habits change. 1) Who the hell is talking about handicapped? I didn't even know you were handicapped. And if you are, so fucking what? An idiot is an idiot. And while I'm on it, you have never heard me say "all liberals on welfare". Again, you are obviously confusing me with the other person renting space in your head.

2) Everyone is in favor of being "weened" off of gas and that's great. However, what you don't get is that companies have to know that they are going to make money in order to invest. Government doesn't create anything except beauracracy, laws, limits and the like. That's where the majority of your beliefs go down the drain. Some car companies have begun (key word is 'begun') to sell hybrid cars. Great. Let's see how many people buy them. The more that do, the more companies will invest. Supply & demand. However, with a lot of the enviornmental laws that are in place it is nearly impossible to do the research necessary to tell the Middle East to fuck off once and for all. For example, wind energy interest took a tail-spin when your beloved 'Uncle Teddy' decided that it blocked his view in nantuket. You are most liekly against nuclear power even though it's cheap (obviously, the waste is a bit messy). Being your against nuclear energy, you will be against more nuclear reactors being built. I don't believe there has been one built since the early '80's. As far as oil drilling, we can't do it here anymore. We can't frill off either coast, we can't drill in Alaska, we can't drill anywhere even though technical advances have made it very doable as to not disrupt wild-life. So, Mr. energy you can see the quagmire we are in. Too much government regulation, too many limits, not enough options. You're men in suits in Washington acting out of self-interest and kick-backs not acting at the service of the people they were supposed to represent. And you want more tax hikes.

3) If you want completely open borders, then I'll leave that statement alone. It is too dangerous to even discuss with you.

4) As far as Bush losing it, he hasn't lost it at all. He (and his administration)has however shown a complete ineptness for fighting this war. He kept Rumsfeld on for far too long and should have replaced others early on in the war. I saw it and I'm not genius. His problem (as I've repeated over and over to you) is that he has tried the Vietnam policy of fighting a "politically correct" war in part, I suspect, to please people like you, not piss the UN off too much and trying to gain the respectability of people and nations he or more specifically America will never gain. We never saw "Shock & Awe". Any real measures of bombing has been protested by people like yourself. You and others of similar beliefs are more interested in defeating Bush and humiliating Bush than you are in trying to kill people, are hell bent on killing you. And that is what you just don't get.
