The certified winner of an office in the U.S. House of Representatives may not be seated with other members of Congress by incoming speaker Nancy Pelosi next week for one reason.

He's a Republican.

In an extremely close race in Florida's 13th District, Republican Vern Buchanan defeated Democrat Christine Jennings by 369 votes. But ongoing legal challenges by Democrats are putting Buchanan's claim to the seat in jeopardy, now that the party in control of the majority has shifted away from the GOP.

Yeah.. the line that really got me was when Pelosi's office said, "seating a certified victor is more of a Republican interpretation and not a concrete rule". So, according to them, morality is a Republican thing they aren't obligated to adhere to.

We already know that a liberal has no real morality.

It is disgusting to see the same type of arguement being used by both sides to better their own position of power. One would think, but I guess they don't, that it is more important to find solutions than to throw stones.

I am chgrined to see that the mes are still too set on making it an us and them problem. Our Constitution and Bill Of Rights protect ones right to dis agree, but it sadly can not guarantee that people will use reason , logic, and mutual cooperation in dealing with each other.

the mes are on both sides and actually are the extremists of both parties. The extremists are the ones who interfier with reason and logic being the basis for solving real problems. If things were as they should be they would flip beyoud their own self agrandizing pseudo feelings of self importance and become us to join in the actions or real mutual problem sovling.

Extremists have proven devicive in every area they inter. Wake up and smell the hate you are spewing; it should make you sick to your stomach.
