Default Gov. Phil's Christmas card

Our governor in TN has stirred up a hornet's nest that hit the national news tonight if you saw it...oh boy

From the Gov site:
Gov. Phil Bredesen's Christmas card

The story that is hitting the news:
A. Is he truthful?
B. What about the message?
C. Should religious leaders be offended or confused?

That's horrible he had an interfaith message of Christian tolerance at the time of Sweet baby Jesus' Birth. Sweet Baby Jesus should smack him down & then spit up on him.

Ya know...I have no problems with this but the Bible belt and media are working overtime again during the Christmas season.

CM, your Govenour is doing the right thing with this card. I approve of this card. I have received and sent Christmas cards out with a snowman on it and his IMHO more accurately follows the seasn than a Santa or Snowman.

Also Crows comments are a little dissapointing to me.

This is the time of year that we celebrate the Christ childs birth, I don't care if it is the actual time or not. The evergreen tree symbolizes life, since it is always green.

Yes, on a more serious note you are exactly right and I hate that Gov Bredesen (who is FANTASTIC) is getting so much stupid crap about all this. He is a very good man and is well liked by both parties, I wish all politicians could be like this (I true statesman in my opinion). I think Crow is saying about the same things but with a bit of 'tougue in cheek' so to speak.
