Tell that to Rummy who resigned. Tell it to the bi-partisan Iraq Study Group who says the policy has failed in Iraq. Tell it to the Republicans on the Hill and in Governor's offices around the Country who lost their seats because...wait for it...Yep, that's right, the President's handling of the war in Iraq.
Listen, Smitty, Liberal or Conservative most Americans have a problem with the war. Check out this link...http://www.pollingreport.com/ Stalemate is at 50%, and I, a LIB/DEM, agree with it.
Then look at this one dealing with Iraq, it's all negative.http://www.pollingreport.com/iraq.htm
Do you really think that there are that many Anti-War Liberals? These are Conservative Republicans that are angry about Defense Spending. These are Con/Reps tired of a lack of mission cohesion and purpose. Smitty you fight on behalf of us, not just for you.
We'll be ordering you home soon. We'll be doing it because we're tired of seeing your fellow soldiers dying. We'll welcome you with open arms, parades, help and love. If you want to be mad about that, so be it.

I ESPECIALLY LIKE YOUR LAST STATEMENT! IDEALOGICAL IS THE KEY WORD THERE! PEOPLE DONT UNDERSTAND THAT! TERROR WHINS BY USING FEAR TO SWAY OPINION! THIS MEANS THE LIBERALS ARE THE ONLY ONES LOSING THE WAR ON TERROR AND IN TURN IF THEY KEEP IT UP WE WILL AS WELL! HOW ABOUT ALITTLE SUPPORT PLZ LIBS! IM NOT ASKING YOU TO FIGHT WITH US I JUST WANT YOU TO BE A APART OF THE SOLUTION OF OUR MISSION NOT THE PROBLEM!

Dude you are too angry. Face it you lost this one. It's not the military's fault, it's Bush's.
The war won the Dem's the midterms, got Rummy fired and united the moderates from both sides.
I don't want you, or ANY soldier dying. I want you home with your family and kid.
As to Iraq becoming a better nation, you know I think your right, economically it's growing stronger. But on 23 November 2006 Sadr City was bombed killing 215 and wounding 257. Earlier, from CNN, "In September 2006, The Washington Post reported that the commander of the Marine forces in Iraq filed "an unusual secret report" concluding that the prospects for securing the Anbar province are dim, and that there is almost nothing the U.S. military can do to improve the political and social situation there." During April 2006, according to the DoD, "morgue numbers showed that 1,091 Baghdad residents were killed by sectarian executions." Also "The LA Times later reported that about 3,800 Iraqis were killed by sectarian violence in Baghdad alone during the first three months of 2006."
It's over Smitty, you just haven't realized it yet. Even if we send in more troops, which we should, the begining of the end of the Iraq war has started.

"It was during the years of the Johnson administration that Israel crossed the technological nuclear threshold. While Israel completed the R&D work on its first nuclear device sometime in late 1966, it continued to pledge to the Johnson administration that "it will not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons to the region."
Well, my good man, Israel WAS the first to introduce nuclear weapons to the region, and they did it by lying to Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson. Why the hell do you THINK Iran wants to go nuclear?

Historically you are absolutely correct. But you and I know the difference between Israel and Iran. Iran has called for the end of Israel and has stated it's respect for the likes of Hitler. Israel, at least not on the level of the head of the government, has not called for an end to Iran.
We need to talk to Iran and negotiate with them. But they'll still develop Nukes, we can't stop that...without war...

>>>No, I don't. Israel has vowed to regain all the territory that God promised them between the Suez and the Euphrates.
