Last night on ABC coverage of election night John McCain was blasting Rumsfeld and Bush on Iraq.

Yes he resisgned but Bush didn't put a military man in his place and McCain is linked to Kennedy and was just starting to campaign for the nomination.

I have to say I don't know that much about Gates, but he's fresh meat and what the people have been screaming for so I'll let him start with a clean slate...but he better watch his back....

This move is interesting. It is actually beneficial to both parties. It says teh republicans are willing to work with the DEMS and with the popular opinion, and the Dems can say this would not have happened without their control of congress, and that tey are indeed making a diference ALREADY, before the vote are even all counted

Unless the war is ended next week one way or the other the Hippycrats will continue to attack him no matter what ever he does
