You people need to watch a little cspan sometime. Actually we needed to change the banking laws. But as often happens they write a law and it needs revamped when the scammers learn how to play it and wiggle through the loop holes.

That never happened with this law and Bush all but fired all the regulators for the banking sector.

No Amazed there is no way to spin this. Bush and company were a Republican controlled government completely for the first 6 years of his term.

Not one veto came from that white house during those 6 years while he was letting his buddies gut the nation.

In 2006 we put some Dems in congress and they have been trying to sort through all the Bush corruption since then. And that includes some very honorable people like Senator Jim Webb from Virginia. Bush has stalled and refused to obey the laws of this land at every step. Does I don't remember what happened and Alberto Gonzalus and the justice department ring a bell to you? Hearing after hearing about torture and the wire tapping.

Who can seriously blame the dems for going after abuses of the constitution first by this administration? Hell he has fixed it so their hands are tied.

All the while wall street and most economists were saying like McCain the economy is doing great.

But the truth is the dems haven't done much about the economy at all for the last year and a half . All they have done is try to put some consumer safety back into the system to try to keep cheap Chinese heprin from killing US citizens and lead painted toys from warping kids minds. And chased Bush around trying to make him fess up to his lies and criminal behavior and Bush has good lawyers and the Justice department in his pocket they have gotten no where with that at all to this point. But they have spent a lot of time on that one issue.
