Default YES, I believe George Bush is stupid!

I think we can safely say that some, if not all), Republicans would enjoy a return to the middle ages as long as they are in power, but they would prefer an age of enlightenment when the Democrats are in power. Our Revolution was supposed to lead us away from the practices of the old world and lead us into a new, brighter future. Now we have Dick Cheney, among others, who desires a return to the old way of doing things.

But what can we expect? With a stupid man like George Bush as president, it figures that he would surround himself with people no smarter than he is.
The humerous thing about this is that Bush, who would like us to see him as another FDR, has not surrounded himself with a 'million-dollar brain trust as Franklyn Roosevelt did, but prefers the 'rummy' type, and don't forget good old Brownie.

Yes the Democrats had problems after forty years of controlling Congress. But christ all mighty, after just twelve years, the Republicans are dropping like flies, with one scandal after another. They seem to have been stealing everything that isn't nailed down.

As I have remarked in the past, the only group who has been consistently happy with this administrqtion has been the wealthy class with their prized tax break. Now I hear Republicans praising the president for the lower gas prices. But I did not hear them complaining when the prices were flying high.

Oh, I shouldn't refer to the president of this great nation as stupid????? Well, what group in this country is content with his leadership except the rich---and the rock solid base of the Republican party who would vote for Nixon again if he could run. And what gripes Republicans is that they know that if Bill Clinton could run again----he would win in a walk.

Some things are just too stupid to respond to. You're thread is one.

You people seem to forget that all the reasons that this war is being fought were proved to be eronious. Republicans would like to believe that we are on some big crusade. But this is bukkshit. This war is being fought because Junior Bush wanted to invade---the administration has lost all credibility with the American people---but rather than admit that they made a mistake, they plan on getting some more thousands of Americans killed. This is your president. And yes, this is stupid.

We will find out soon if the American people are fed up with Republicans now won't we?
BTW Why don't you ever post anything with facts or links to it or do you just like making stuff up?
Also you say that Bush is stupid but you forget the fact that the candidate running against him is even more so and FACTS (I know that word it foreign to you) back that up.

The american people voted him in twice. It's your liberal elitist attitude that is the problem.

Guess what genius, Clinton never even carried 50% either of the two times he ran. I have seen plenty of Democrats talk about Clinton's appeal to the middle, but the voters sure didn't indicate that. In 92' Clinton carried a whopping 43% - he as well as Democrats can thank Ross Perot for Clinton ever being president in the first place. Most people over thirty have heard the term the "Reagan Democrats", but they have never heard the term the "Clinton Republicans". Yeah, Clinton has great cross-over appeal.

As far as gas prices, why don't you actually educate yourself a little bit. The price of oil per barrell has risen between 500-700% since 1998 (depending upon the month), and yet the price of gas went up at most 250%. It seems that the oil companies are doing one of two things.

1) They were over-pricing the gas a bunch in 1998

OR

2) They are artificially keeping the price low now.

Nobody wants to pay more, but you speak like one who really doesn't have much of a concept as to what the relationship is between the price of oil and the gas prices. It is obvious that the oil companies had a bigger mark-up on their product ten years ago than they do today, and you cannot recognize that. So who is stupid?

And could you tell me who "old Brownie" is?
