Default Proof of Media Bias - MSNBC dumps Olbermann/Matthews!

MSNBC has dumped Keith Olbmerman and Chris Matthews as hosts of the primetime political shows because they are too biased!!! Ha-ha-ha!

Oh, they will keep them on as "political analysts" throughout the election, that should be interesting...watching them sitting on the sidelines as "anaylists" instead of in the main anchor seat! Oh, this is just too funny!

Mr. Olbermann, a 49-year-old former sportscaster, has become the face of the more aggressive MSNBC, and the lightning rod for much of the criticism. His program “Countdown,” now a liberal institution, was created by Mr. Olbermann in 2003 but it found its voice in his gnawing dissent regarding the Bush administration, often in the form of “special comment” segments.

As Mr. Olbermann raised his voice, his ratings rose as well, and he now reaches more than one million viewers a night, a higher television rating than any other show in the troubled 12-year history of the network. As a result, his identity largely defines MSNBC. “They have banked the entirety of the network on Keith Olbermann,” one employee said.
Quote:
Just last year, Mr. Olbermann signed a four-year, $4-million-a-year contract with MSNBC. NBC is close to supplementing that contract with Mr. Olbermann, extending his deal through 2013 — and ensuring that he will be on MSNBC through the next election.

Wow! MSNBC’s highest rated show? That’s not saying much considering MSNBC is such a low rated network. Keith can’t come close to O’Reilly who he goes up against on the air. The Factor has been number 1 in the ratings for the past seven years and is seen in over 30 countries. Keith doesn’t quite measure up in the non-MSBNC world. In fact he sickens most people. The only people who like him are the far-left liberals who believe the crap that comes out of his mouth.

Contract or no contract…I wouldn’t be surprised to see them dump him completely or at least move him to the backburner by limiting his airtime, things apparently have changed significantly since his deal was signed. Hey, Imus’s contract was bought out…it happens all the time when someone screws up as bad as Keith has. I'm willing to bet that MSNBC won't be extending that deal to Keith anytime soon like the article says they might. Not now...no way...no how....no Keith!!!! Especially since it is NBC who is more upset about this than the goofs over at MSNBC..it makes NBC looked horrible to be associated with this guy, and that is why they are taking action now!

The bottom line is that it’s a HUGE embarrassment for both Olberman and Matthews…to be yanked from their coveted role of political anchors for the election…and to have media bias pointed out as the main reason for their departure is too funny! Even Brokaw and Williams have said these two schmucks have gone too far in their love for Obama! Ha-ha-ha!!!!

doesn't this disprove bias?

they felt there was too much bias with them being hosts so they rearranged the line-up.

It proves there was a big enough bias for them to notice it and make their recent move. But that doesn't erase the months and months of bias they have spoon fed people. It's only because they are finally getting a dose of reality from the american people who are sick of them being so one sided that they finally decided they had no choice but to make a change - to try and "prove" to the american people that they 'realize' they have been bias, but that they are trying to correct it now. I'm not buying it, they will still spew out the same crap just with different people in the chair.

no it doesn't disprove bias. it proves that left leaning [ hell, falling down ] bias is not a hot commodity.

What it proves is that Americans give far too much credence and attention to infotainment.

More of a "cover your ass" play. I think that they recieved some scary feedback from sponsers and had to do something.
