This isn't about McCain unsure whether she can handle herself. From what we have seen from Saracuda would have no problem handling the press. I think this is an "In your face MSM". I think it takes some rather big nads for the press on the one hand before she is even invited her to grant an interview jump her like, "thugs in Harlem", and claims she's timid, or afraid of them.

The best thing they have is for her to stay away from them. This allows the to speculate, and project more misleading info about her. I think he's holding her back for when the time is right.
