Default Warriors for laissez-faire and RNC speeches

Remember Dwight Eisenhower warning us of the military industrial complex? Where is his wisdom today...all I saw at the RNC were discussions of military pride , yet no mention of the infinite wisdom that the military industrial complex could turn into our biggest threat and serving your country was no longer about national security but securing laissiz-faire corporate wealth.

I just saw in the audience many overweight white people clapping like cheerleaders with no concern for the details on how they were going to repair the military industrial complex that is bleeding us and wasted hundreds of billions on deception to secure laissez-faire corporate greed.

How are they going to fix this and lead the military back to defense and national security or was this just pageantry and nationalism and pride about securing lassez-faire?

You bring up a great observation. That this massive marketing of war as business is the Juggernaut behind the halls of power that hold this country hostage with a velvet glove.

Lives are numbers. As long as you can keep it at percentages, you are doing good business.

As long as you have one party that's your marketing wing, you can roll out what ever advertising triggers you need to secure that those velvet halls of power are retained. One party does that without even a blink. The other party enables them.

Welcome to the United Corporations of America.

Don't vote for John McCain, that is a good start.

By that same logic, then you should not vote for Obama either. Obama also wants to expand our military and increase our defense spending which is currently responsibility for 48% of global military spending.

To top it off, Obama wants to create a Civilian National Army that is just as well-funded.

It is about more than budget, it is about how they choose to utilize the military.

Do you have a link to your numbers? They sound a little off....

Nice misread of what he actually wants, I see you have not really looked at or read anything he has said. Keep your radio tuned to Rush Limbaugh and you will be just fine...

Believing in a continued strong military as a momentum force is not the same as increasing spending. Going through an accountability analysis combined with intelligent force allocation, if done practically, realistically & within the rule of law can actually reduce wasted expenditures.

As to the civilian army....no, creating a civilian peace outreach program is actually far cheaper., it does not require top of the line military equipment & associated technical personnel. Very expensive & bloated systems. It requires smart on the ground leadership. Actually from places like the U. S. military personnel whom have been on the ground in Irag dealing with the complexities of community stability.

Or an American version of peace keeping forces. A version not about force but about community infrastructure rebuilding.

I agree that correct utilization of a military is of utmost importance and the current administration failed to correctly utilize the military numerous times in Iraq.

I can't post links, but here are some addresses.

"Barack Obama supports plans to increase the size of the Army by 65,000 soldiers and the Marines by 27,000 troops. Increasing our end strength will help units retrain and re-equip properly between deployments and decrease the strain on military families."

ww.barackobama.com/issues/defense/

The US is responsible for 48% of global military spending. I think it would be a good area to trim from.

Nice sophomoric retort. Keep drinking the kool-aid if you don't think Obama wants to increase military spending and didn't talk about creating a Civilian Nation Army while giving a speech in Colorado Springs on July 2nd.

BTW, I have never tuned into Rush Limbaugh ever.
