John McCain Blew His Nomination Speech Out of the Political Park!
That's Right, John Sidney McCain, gave a nomination speech that was worthy of the presidency (I'm still going to wait and see how he does during the debates). He touched on all the most important political issues, and even explained why our job with the war on terrorism is not finished, and then went on to explain why he would be the best choice for president. It's called military experience.
John McCain was posed, and delivered his speech like a true seasoned political veteran. I had a lot of doubts about McCain until tonights speech. Now, I am really looking forward to the debates. Barack Obama's protesters who were trying to interrupt John McCain's speech, only gave more credence to why Barack Obama should not be the next president. If you have to have protesters interrupting your opponents convention-well, that only speaks volumes against you-especially when your opponent has offered you an olive branch. Like John McCain has said, over and over, this campaign, and being president is not about the candidate-it's about America, and truly making it better.
I think the coming election polls will at least give John McCain a spike in the polls. However, I wouldn't be surprised if the next polls put him ahead of Barack Obama.
And, let's stop kidding ourselves, both Barack Obama and John McCain are part of the Washington establishment. With that said, do you think John McCain is truly a Maverick for change? Do you really think Barack Obama is a "yes we can" man about change?
What do you think about John McCain's nomination speech? What part did you like most and least? Why?

It was a good speech for what he needed to say.
He is going to need to come out much stronger against George Bush and the current failure of an adminstration though...see Reps, even McCain knows the idiots in the White House have screwed this up.

What is he going to do, exactly?
I got the feeling he's going to need to go to war Iran, North Korea, Russia, though that is a bit tricky because they have nukes.
He's promising change, but he's going to keep cutting taxes, and promising to cut spending but never deliver so the deficit will keep increasing. Just like Bush and the Republicans. And if that policy didn't work for Bush and the Republicans, why will it work for McCain?
His words on energy are just like what Bush has promised: more drilling, nuclear, clean coal, but even with corporate welfare, Bush and the Republicans delivered nothing. So how is McCain offering change? And it hasn't worked for Bush and the Republicans, so why will it work for McCain?
He's promising to appoint judges just like Bush has appointed and Republicans ratified, and that has given corporations more power over people, so the corporations can pollute and destroy livelihoods, corporations can discriminate against woman and that's ok, and so how is being just like Bush and the Republicans going to improve things for the people?
And he's going to let the corporations export jobs and import from China, and maybe if the dollar falls in value so that oil doubles in price, then US workers will have less purchasing power so US corporations can export more.
Imagine you are in an elevator and someone gets on saying, "I don't have a clue about why anyone would vote for McCain" - what would you say as you ride from the 1st floor to the 20th floor?

He said there was failure...nice but...
He gave no real words about what that change will be, you sort of nailed it.

If Obama wins, somone will take him out, if McCain wins, he will die in office of a heart attack, so it's really about the VPs and I think the "pitbull with lipstick" has bigger balls than Biden.......................
How can you disagree with that logic ?

I'd give it a 'B-'. It was solid and at point moving. but it as nothing compared to Palin.

That is what most critics are saying, McCain is not very moving when giving a speech. Very 'workman' like.
