Every aspect of the media's reporting is "grossly" bias, from camera views, to comments just before and after a speech.
I thought Katie Couric was going to do a complete rendition of Palin's speech, thankfully, she stopped when Palin came on stage.
For the most part, the cameras were focused on people over the age of 70 at the RNC.
Bret Hume had the look of death on his face after Palin's speech, it looked like he had just been informed of his Mother's death.
After Palin's speech, all of these reporters went into "But this is the first test for Palin" mode.
I thought "If she answers all of the reporter's questions like Obama has, she will do just fine" (No real answers, just repeat campaign stump speech material) but I know this will not be the case.
The media networks (Including Fox) are looking at their future ratings.
Obama represents much more money for the media, than does McCain.
McCain/Palin will have to pull off a miracle to defeat all of these opponents.

3. Whatever certain elements in the media finds about those family members, will be exploited.
4. I deplore the faux outrage that a nominee's family member is being spoken and written about in the press. She KNEW it would happen. That goes to judgment.
There I disagree ...... to say she lacked judgement is no different than saying we should go hide and protect our children from the reality of our society. She would do them more harm than good to shelter them from the reality of public life..... Those chickenshit motherfuckers are out there and will be until society has the balls to say enough of this shit!!! I'd bet $1000 Sarah would agree with me and SHE might actually use her voice to speak out on it .......
5. I read god knows how many threads about Obama's middle name, his family's flaws, his mother's "sluttiness," and how he's going to be the first President elected by Affirmative Action, and it makes me sick. I'm sorry if that disturbs you. However, much like your choice to go to Yahoo! for your news, you choose to read my posts. Simple, really. You're hereby invited to keep my disturbing thoughts off your radar.
You want to read that as attacking her daughter. Pardon, but it's bullshit.

ricechickie, I agree with points 1-2-3 .....
#4 is the appropriate reaction to the faux indignation of those you said would exploit them in point #3. What is wrong with faux outrage as a response to faux indignation?

I agree with #5 No one KNOWS the TRUTH of Obama's mothers morals ...... and until we do I won't speculate....

Political Correctness defined :
A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

The left leaning media (as opposed to fox) is making a full court press to blunt the Palin momentum and they are pulling out all stops.

>>>Who cares? All I know is that NewsCorp is now at $13.89. It's 52 week high was $24.95. NewsCorp and its flagship Fox is down 44%. It must be all the Megyn Kelly/Bill O'Reilly good work, eh?

Looks like NewCorp and the New York Times have quite a bit in common, don't it, Georgie?
What's going on at the New York Slimes anyways? Must be all the Krugman/Herbert/Rich good work, eh?
Maybe things will pick up when they run the rest of what they said they had on McCain and that blonde lobbyist?

>>>The NY Times has been on its way out for decades (and I don't get the rag anyway). But NewsCorp and Faux are supposed to be the rising stars. So much for that theory, eh? Seems people are just getting weary of the shrill woman-esque O'Reilly/Hannity hysteria, and they are also catching onto the fact that NewsCorp is nothing more than the Volkischer Beobachter of the Likud Party.

The mainstream news media is completely biased...even Saturday Night Live did a skit on how in the tank for Obama the media is! Even Ed Rendell, a prominent Democrat said it was "embarrassing" how much in support of Obama the media is. It's just beyond ridiculous. And quite honestly, I think the mainstream media is actually paying attention to the uproar that is out there. You see them trying so hard to defend themselves now, and some are even admitting the bias exists.
I was at a McCain/Palin campaign rally the other day, and a CNN staff reporter approached me with some questions. He mostly wanted to know things about why I was supporting McCain/Plain etc. But the subject of media bias came up, and he did in fact admit that the general media, including CNN has given more positive airtime to Obama than any other candidate. The woman sitting next to me asked him if he was going to "fix" that by making it less bias. He responded that that request was "above his pay grade"...to which of course I jumped all over him and said that his bias was showing because he was now quoting Barack Obama!!! Granted, I said it in good humor and we both laughed about it, but he did admit to the general media bias that is out there.
