I am angry about it. Damned angry. Libraries and the materials they contain are, IMHO, one of the most important resources a community has.

As for this "just being local politics", that's a flimsy dismissal. If you take a look at the intent of the founders, political power flows from you and I, to local gov't, to state and then to federal gov't. Point is, it begins with informed citizens in even the smallest of burgs. It's a violation of freedom of speech and speaks to a will to invoke the thought police.

This is not as petty as it my at first seem on the surface.
