Since the Berlin wall fell and the leadership in China has changed the idea of a 'Communist Block' just does not exist any longer. North Korea and the ideology they hold is way, way outdated. They basically have nothing in the way of natural resources; there is nothing they have to offere except manpower (if they would take care of their own people). Even Cuba and the ideals Castro holds are going away because they are cumbling to dust, they get no more Soviet $ just as China does not support NK with any $.
