Put up, or shut up
Mid-terms are right around the corner. There has been a lot of crap flying around here on the outcome. If the Dems take the House, and Senate, I will stay off this site for two days. If they take ONE I will stay off one day.
What do you say? ANY Dems here got the balls to match the bet????????

Diz, I understand your feelings about something you feel strongly about. I will not take you up on your bet, because I would not gloat. I hope for change, but am not gleeful when situations that cause pain to others occur.
I would like to give you some quotes that are easily confirmed.
One by the democrats during the recount fieasco, and one by the Republicans.
When the Supreme court was going to decide on the recount Gore said, "If I lose I will not try to persuade any republican electorate to switch votes.
A spokesmen for the Republicans said If we loose I will try to convence any democratic electorate I can to switch.
I was really taken back by that.
When the Fla. Supreme court called in favor of Gore they were called derogatory names.
When they called in favor of Bush Gore an his people.
simply said they won, we lost.
I was impressed with the responce of only one side.
Those statements to me said much about both parties and candiates.

Hi r,
I am also reminded of Richard Nixon. He resigned. When asked why, he replied " this country should not be put through the impeachment of a President."
Hillbilly Bill thought it was a joke.
THAT speaks volumes.
Back to the original thread. Is it a bet??????

The way things are looking, it won't matter who votes for whom, or who holds or takes what, because all we have to choose from anymore in both parties are liberal globalists.

Weeks before midterm elections across the country, Bush and the Republican Party are facing dismal approval ratings and for the first time since 2001, a Newsweek poll shows that more Americans — 53 percent — trust Democrats on moral values and the war on terror.

Don't get too giddy yet. Polls change every day and history has proven that polls run by the media are very seldom accurate because they are too reflective of the viewer/reader base of the polling source. In other words, a poll run by liberal media will lean towards liberals and a poll run by conservative media (if there was such a thing) would lean towards conservatives. So about the only thing a poll like that is good for is determining what percentage of its base is liberal and/or conservative.
