Are you sure that Edwards wasn't trying to duplicate the success of these candidates, looking ahead to Fall 2008 when he would be competing with one of these candidates for president?

This is no longer news: to me this is a good example of the circus that we invite into our system of politics: and that is part of the reason that our system is NOT working.
At this point our country faces some very serious problems, yet we ignore the real issues and instead invite & encourage the distraction of this circus type mentality into the very important matter of selecting our President & Members of Congress: the major media sources respond to our willingness to accept their repeated & endless lazy reporting of this non-issue material.
No wonder we now have a girdlocked government that does not/or barely functions: or we elected leaders -(Republicans & Democrats)- that stole from us & were derilect in their duty & ignored our treasured Constitutional system; or leaders that broke some of our most treasured laws & abused our rights, or leaders that lied & manipulated us into a war for their own finanical gain and in doing so made the Nation less safe from our real enemies.
Boys & Girls, the Huns are Very Much at our Gate, and we the people had better wake up and ignore the circus and put some effort into solving this crisis.
John Edwards, and his personal foibles are not important at this point: how we are going to re-tool our government so it can again function effectively & successfully is the issue, we had better be about our REAL bussiness at hand, or be prepared to suffer the consequences. ...pjwky
